The shield is like it is because, back when the Vive wands were basically the only controller available, it was difficult to move around with the offhand controller without holding it in the position you're describing. This sounds like a permissions problem, something might be wrong with the folder permissions on your appdata/.minecraft directory. You could try running the vivecraft installer as administrator.

this looks like forge itself failed to install. Try downloading and installing that specific version of forge independantly.

ZGC is the best solution we have for micro-stutter. Garbage collection is the usual cause of stutter is very dependent on cpu and ram speed as well.

Other things can cause stutter tho, like other programs running.

Yikes! this is java crashing, but from a call from the server-component in minecraft. This should not occur and could be caused by being out of RAM, some kind of RAM error, something wrong with your OS, or maybe malware.
